Biography Continued
One of the most prominent women in healthcare advertising, Regan is a pioneer, an entrepreneur, and a mentor to a generation of ad men and women. Under Maureen’s leadership, RCW has grown from three people to a top-10 healthcare agency with an office in New York and another in San Diego.
In 1994 Maureen was named president of Lally, McFarland and Pantello (LM&P) in 1994, one of the first women to break through and lead a major agency in the category. In her three years at the helm of LM&P, the agency enjoyed significant growth, adding new clients (Parke-Davis, Glaxo Smithkline, Upjohn, among others) and entering new categories. Her achievements were recognized by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, which named her “Woman of the Year” in 1997, one of only three advertising executives to hold the title.
In September of the same year, Maureen along with her partners, Richard Campbell and Brendan Ward, launched Regan Campbell Ward as McCann Erickson’s first healthcare start-up. Since that time, Regan Campbell Ward has launched or worked on ten “billion dollar plus” pharmaceutical Brands, most notably Eloxatin (Sanofi-Synthelabo), Restasis (Allergan), Nexavar (Bayer and Onyx), Afinitor (Novartis Oncology), Soliris (Alexion), Reclast and Aclasta (Novartis) and Pradaxa for Boehringer Ingelheim.
In addition to the above, Regan has built a roster of significant clients, including Amgen, Daiichi Sankyo Oncology, Millennium the Takeda Oncology Company, Kowa Pharmaceuticals, Prometheus, Alcon and the American Academy of Family Physicians. The agency has been recognized by the industry; it was named MedAdNews Agency on the Rise in 2003 and MedAdNews Agency of the year (category II) in 2006.
In addition, to her duties as Managing Partner, Maureen also sat on the board of the Global Leadership Team of McCann Healthcare Worldwide of McCann Worldgroup.
Beyond McCann Regan Campbell Ward, Regan continues to reaffirm her place as a leader in the industry. During her agency’s rapid expansion, Regan has served on the boards of the Healthcare Marketing and Communications Council, the Healthcare Business Women’s Association and the Epiphany School in Manhattan. Maureen was the first woman to serve on the board of Manhattan College. In 2013 she received the “Highest Leaf Award” from the Women’s Venture fund in recognition of her business leadership and commitment to helping other women succeed. Maureen speaks frequently on women’s issues and the value of mentoring in the workplace. She is also a sought-after speaker and frequently participates in industry roundtables.
Maureen has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Molloy College and an MBA from Manhattan College. She is also the proud Mom of her 17 year old son, Thomas.
